its a sad topic but the newer eps I am now watching on USA network is really pertinent. One ep explored the idea of torture in prison in the form of solitary confinement or being “put in the hole.” the other explored prison rape and how its a open secrete. People know prison rape happens but we are not aware how inappropriately it is to accept prison rape as a threat or as a added punishment for criminals when incarcerated. These are all issues about our current prison/jail system and it should be fixed and alternatives should be explored. Paying your debt to society does not mean one must be tortured but it should focus on rehabilitation and future contribution and safety of our society inclusive of the incarcerated.
